Klimop Tongeren, Belgium speaks with Chris Williams KJ5GEW via ARISS telebridge ON4ISS

Students from BULO Klimop primary school located in Tongeren-Borgloon, Belgium made an ARISS telebridge contact with astronaut Chris Williams KJ5GEW aboard the International Space Station on Thursday, February 5, 2026. The ARISS telebridge ground station ON4ISS in Aartselaar Belgium called the ISS with callsign OR4ISS at 12:21:45 UTC. The school had plenty of time for the 18 questions as well as applause and heard the goodby from Chris.

Our students had the unique opportunity to make real contact with an astronaut in space. An experience that has broadened their horizons forever and left an indelible impression, concluded principal Jocelyne Snellings.
